Drafting and Design Services
We provide residential drafting and design services through complete project continuity for single family, wood-framed dwellings and commercial tenant improvements. We handle the planning and zoning permits and provide extremely accurate drawings to expedite the design process.
Our projects range in size and character. You may want a kitchen remodel and a need to push out the existing kitchen a few feet or the new master bedroom and bathroom you have always dreamed about. Or maybe a new great room for entertaining or adding a third car garage. Whatever it may be we are here to help you through the design process. A new home from the ground up practices the same principles as remodeling and additions but require additional time and involvement. We have extensive handicap and ADA experience should that be required. In addition, D.C.Foote and Associates has 27 years of experience working with wildfire damage and restoration projects. We work directly with the homeowner, contractor or insurance agency to provide immediate results.
We have extensive experience working on code compliances where home owners are being challenged by the county. Typically, fines can be up to $400 a day. Our job is to provide construction documents, obtain the necessary permits and satisfy the governing agencies to stop the fines that may be imposed on a non-permitted structure. New ordinances in Ventura County, and others being considered in Camarillo and Thousand Oaks, are making it easier to build secondary units on residential properties. Often referred to as “Granny Flats” or ADUs (accessory dwelling units), these units reflect a changing American household. It could be aging parents who move in with their adult children, or young couples starting families and unable to find affordable housing. In either case, DC Foote and Associates will work closely with Planning Departments to ensure that your application for a secondary unit moves efficiently through the permit process.
